What Are the Services Offered by Home Health Care Businesses

Private healthcare businesses are growing in popularity, especially during the current SARS-CoV-19 pandemic. As your loved ones grow older, you will likely want to invest in the best healthcare for them, and part of that is allowing them to spend their final years at home, rather than in a home or care centre. In this article, we are going to tell you what the services offered by private healthcare businesses are so that you can decide whether or not private healthcare is the right choice for you and your loved ones.

Tailored Healthcare
One of the best benefits of a private healthcare business for you and your family is tailored healthcare. You will find that a home care business will boast well-trained and professional staff, many of whom will have a length of experience in healthcare. Because of this, they will be able to use their experience to create a personally tailored healthcare plan for you or your loved ones. Tailored and personal healthcare plans are very effective in treating healthcare problems and ensuring a person gets the best quality of healthcare possible. This is, without a doubt, one of the best benefits of private healthcare.

Communication
Private healthcare businesses allow patients to stay in touch with their carers even when they are absent from the patient’s property. It is unlikely that, unless you have a lot of money, you will be able to afford permanent live-in healthcare. An inability to afford permanent live-in care, however, does not mean that your loved one (or you) cannot stay in touch with their carers and have them come over whenever they need them. No, many private healthcare companies set-up WhatsApp or digital messaging apps to allow them to communicate with their patients.

Comfort
Having carers who will tend to your loved one, or you, with personally tailored healthcare plans, can be very comforting for a sick or old person. Personal care is all about comfort – it is something that simply cannot be offered in a hospital, hospice, or care home, and rather, it is only something that a person can get when in the comfort of their own home, with carers who genuinely show interest in them. Comfort is another of the benefits of personally tailored and at-home care. While not necessarily a ‘service’ – it is something offered by at-home carers.

Company
Many old or sick people do not have anybody to talk to and, because of this, spend their old age in complete misery. Having company to look after you or your loved one will make the experience much better for them and will ensure that you or they, do not get lonely during your period of ill health, or your old age. Having somebody you are familiar with and who you get along with can make your life considerably better and worth living. Having company is definitely one of the best reasons to hire an at-home care company or care giver.

In this article, we hope to have explained to you what the services offered by at-home care givers are. We hope you have found this article enjoyable and that you will join us again soon. Thank you for reading.

Using WhatsApp to facilitate patient communication in private healthcare

From delayed treatments and phone-only consultations, medical providers have been forced to adapt their service offerings to ensure patients are kept as safe as possible during the pandemic. This approach has also presented new challenges for patient experience strategies created pre-COVID.

Forward-thinking healthcare providers – clinics, and hospitals are investing in a new digital patient service channel to address the issue – one that is already used by many of their patients daily – messaging platforms, specifically the world’s number one chat app, WhatsApp.

WhatsApp offers healthcare providers an instant, secure and flexible channel to help and support their patients no matter where they are on their treatment journey while improving communications and engagement.

From scheduling to timely information with WhatsApp
Here is how private messaging can service patients at critical stages throughout a typical patient journey:

#1 Facilitate booking appointments

Most doctor appointments are currently phone-based, more so with social distancing rules. This inevitably leads most patients to wait in phone queues to book an appointment or, even worse, receive a busy signal.

That’s a patient experience disaster for medical providers as such inefficient services not only frustrate patients but potentially upset those who may be desperate to talk to a professional. WhatsApp enables providers to sidestep such issues entirely. Their patients can send an appointment request via the app that a doctor or booking department can respond to in moments. And administrators can handle multiple appointment requests simultaneously and efficiently.

#2 Flexible scheduling and feedback

With WhatsApp, healthcare providers can send appointment details via WhatsApp, deliver reminder notifications in the days leading up to the appointment, and allow patients to change or cancel appointments in the app easily.

And that latter benefit is essential as 77% of patients state the ability to book, change, or cancel an appointment is one of their top priorities (Source: Accenture).

Healthcare providers can use the full power of the messaging application after scheduling an appointment by sharing a list of to-dos before and on the day of the appointment with the patient.

Moreover, on the day of the appointment, the messaging application can also ‘accompany’ the patient, acting as a virtual assistant. For instance, to help patients navigate often confusing hospital layouts, simple maps with directions can be sent by the provider using WhatsApp templates. The app can also provide other useful updates, including current waiting times and safety reminders.

After the appointment, short surveys can be sent in the app to encourage patients to give immediate feedback on their experience. Such a wealth of functionality reduces the health provider’s burden while offering friction-free CX on what may well be a very anxious day for the patient.

#3 Deliver test results

Post-consultation and clinics can send a notification that lab results are ready for pick up or send the results to the patient directly via WhatsApp, negating the need for mail or phone calls while offering further convenience for the patient.

It’s an approach that health provider MedTel is already successfully leveraging to deliver laboratory results directly to patients in PDF form as soon as they become available.

#4 Offer security and peace of mind

While messaging is ideal for a great patient experience, its benefits are meaningless to patients if they believe their sensitive medical information is not fully protected. WhatsApp features two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption plus official business verification, so patients always know they are talking to their actual healthcare provider and not a scammer. Additionally, by partnering with an authorized WhatsApp Business solution provider like tyntec, providers can be reassured that the use and storage of any patient data are fully compliant with GDPR’s strict rules.

#5 Keep data on your knowledge base

The WhatsApp platform offers specific advantages for providers and their existing IT solutions. By integrating tyntec’s simple API with their data source/knowledge base, they can keep all conversations with patients and their profiles so that the medical team can have access to the communications and inform their treatments accordingly.

This ensures a medical practitioner continues to work with the latest patient information such as medication history and recent doctor appointments. WhatsApp’s analytics functionality raft also allows healthcare providers to identify potential business growth opportunities and, critically, to continue evolving services based on emerging patient needs and pain points.

Preparing healthcare patient service for the future

To aid the healthcare sector manage the logistics of a rollout, official WhatApp solution providers can design, create, and implement the channel, fully integrating the messaging platform with existing CX infrastructures. At tyntec, we offer a Support Inbox service that allows healthcare providers to manage multiple channels, including WhatsApp, SMS, and more, via one centralized hub.

Pre-COVID, the healthcare industry was slow to embrace CX and digital transformation, all while patient demand increased for both.

By taking steps to bridge this gap, this sector can ensure that when the pandemic does finally subside, they are ready to face a new reality – the shift into the online space made by consumers during the pandemic is here to stay. Having the digital experience under control will help healthcare address the demand and offer a seamless patient experience.

What Are the Top Specialties in Clinical Radiology?

Radiology is the method of taking images of the internal organs of the body for diagnosis. A radiologist has excellent scope for career advancements in patient diagnostics. There are several specialties to opt for under radiology, each dealing with a different form of imaging. There are several subspecialties, as well. You can visit sites like Inside Radiology for more information. Here are some of the top specialties that an aspiring radiologist could opt for.

  1. Diagnostic Radiology

This form of radiology uses x-rays and ultrasound for diagnosing diseases. Electromagnetic radiation and radionuclides are other forms of techniques for treating diseases. A radiologist has to undergo about five years of training in all, with one year of clinical training and four radiology training years.

They can also undergo another year of training if they opt for a fellowship. To certify as a diagnostic radiologist, the candidate must specialise in any at least one area among pain medicine, nuclear radiology, hospice and palliative medicine, neuroradiology, paediatric radiology, and vascular and interventional radiology.

  1. Interventional Radiology

A certification in interventional radiology opens many doors for the radiologist. They have to show expertise in imaging as well as in imaging-guided minimally invasive procedures. They should also know how to provide periprocedural patient care to diagnose and treat the pelvis, abdomen, and thorax conditions.

They should also know about therapies related to stent placement, thrombus management and angioplasty. The entire course includes three years of diagnostic radiology and two years of interventional radiology in most medical colleges worldwide.

  1. Oncological Radiology

A radiologist specialising in oncology has to know about imaging and diagnosing benign and malignant conditions, especially tumours. They have to use ionising radiation, along with computed tomography scans for accurate imaging.

Additionally, they should know about conducting MRIs, ultrasound, and hyperthermia. The course includes one year of clinical work, followed by four rigorous years of radiation oncology training. For more details, you can even consult sites like Inside Radiology.

  1. Neuroradiology

A neuroradiologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating the brain, spine, neck, sinus, and other central nervous system disorders. Anomalies in these parts of the body can cause premature aging, seizures, strokes, trauma, or even cancer.

Proper imaging is the key to locating any brain tumour or aneurysm in the spinal cord, and they include myelography, angiography, and MRI and other interventional techniques. Apart from regular clinical diagnosis training, one year of additional training and one year of fellowship is compulsory.

  1. Paediatric Radiology

Paediatric radiology is all about learning imaging and interventional procedures in children, especially in children with congenital disabilities. The radiologist should know how to diagnose, care, and manage congenital abnormalities to be treated as early as possible. The child does not have a compromised quality of life as an adult. The radiologist requires one-year fellowship and one year of additional approved training over diagnostic radiology.

There are other kinds of subspecialties in radiology like breast imaging, chest radiology, and gastrointestinal radiology. A radiologist should have immense patience, skill, and observational powers to accurately conduct imaging and diagnose the issue, so the patient has the best treatment chance. It is a most rewarding experience and has immense career prospects.

What Should You Expect From a Cataract Surgery?

Cataract surgery also referred to as lens-replacement surgery, is a common procedure performed to replace the natural lens of your eye. The need for cataract surgery arises due to the opacification of your eye lens. The common symptoms linked to this condition include cloudy, foggy, or unclear vision, sensitivity towards light, inability to adjust vision at night, fading of colours, etc. You can learn more here about this disease and its potential treatments.

Cataract surgery has advanced substantially in the last few years due to progress in technology and medicine. However, in some instances, then it may lead to specific symptoms or problems. These problems may subside, or you may need to call the doctor. To understand this, here are the critical aspects and effects of cataract surgery.

Meaning of a Cataract

A cataract is the progressive clouding of your eye lens, leading to the loss of its transparent nature. Cataract formation occurs naturally and if left untreated, may result in blindness. The medical condition is attributed to aging but, under rare circumstances, affects the younger generation. Although cataract is painless and incurable, it may improve with sufficient medical treatment in the initial stages.

Cataract surgery and Its Types

Doctors prescribe cataract surgery only when it affects your day-to-day activities. If you face extreme vision problems while driving or reading a book, your doctor shall most likely prescribe surgery to fix your vision. However, in case of a cataract in both your eyes, you will have to wait for the first eye to heal before getting your other eye operated on.

Doctors perform cataract surgery using one of the two ways- phacoemulsification or extracapsular. In phacoemulsification, the doctor makes a small incision because the lens is relatively less cloudy. The doctor may opt for the extracapsular path by making a larger incision in your eye in case of extreme cloudiness. Due to advancements in technology, doctors usually perform laser-assisted surgery than using a scalpel due to the laser’s accuracy and precision.

Post-Procedure Effects

After the cataract surgery, your vision shall gradually start improving within a few days. However, you experience slight blurriness while your eye continues to heal. A cataract is usually yellow or brown in colour, fading or yellowing the colours around you. However, after surgery, the colours may appear brighter. You may also experience mild itching or discomfort. However, it’s important to cover your eye with an eye-patch or shield to help it heal post-surgery.

You must contact your doctor immediately in case you experience symptoms like vision loss, persisting pain despite consuming pain medications, increasing redness in eyes, swelling of the eyelid, or light-flashes in front of your eyes. You may also approach a doctor if you see multiple newly-developed spots in front of your eye.

A cataract is a common eye condition experienced by people worldwide, especially due to old-age or any injury. While cases are not more here, you may still approach the doctor in case of any cataract-related symptoms. It is always better to enquire in the early stages and receive appropriate treatment rather than waiting for the symptoms to worsen.

Be Mindful: The Clinically Proven Mindfulness Course for Better Mental Wellbeing

It is estimated that 1 out of every 4 people in England experience one or more kinds of mental health problems in any given year. And considering the current pandemic, experts have already warned of a rise in cases of anxiety, depression, and paranoia. With lock-downs, travel restrictions, and stringent social distancing norms, getting in touch with therapists for old and new patients is not easy.

As such, the health industry is now looking up to a digital medium to help the patients. While digital assistance has been in place for some time now, the current situation has given it a push towards recognition and made it essential.

With a mission to provide high-quality digital mental health interventions that make a real and lasting impact on lives, Wellmind Health launched Be Mindful, a digital course that benefits participants by delivering all the elements of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Individuals join the course, either by self-enrollment or via enrolment by their enterprise or healthcare sponsor.

In conversation with Insights Care, Richard Latham, the CEO shares more about the app and how it can help us.

Kindly brief us about the health app and the journey of your company since its inception.

Be Mindful has been proven clinically effective by published research studies to significantly reduce and maintain low levels of depression, anxiety, and stress for course completer(s).

When we launched Be Mindful back in 2011, the amazing potential of digitally delivered mental health training became quickly apparent. The health outcomes we started to see from the course self-assessments seemed to us as web developers, incredible! At about the same time, we were lucky to be in contact with the Department of Psychiatry at Oxford University, who wanted to find out if MBCT delivered in a digital format was as effective as the talking therapy delivered face-to-face. It turned out from their first research study that it was!

This was the start of our ongoing stream of research work with academic partners about the effectiveness of Be Mindful. This substantial and growing evidence base has informed every decision we have made about the developments of Be Mindful. This evidence-based approach was critical in Be Mindful getting listed in 2018 on the NHS health apps library, having passed rigorous NHS quality standards for clinical effectiveness, safety, security, usability, and accessibility. A listing on this health apps library is reserved only for tools deemed clinically safe and secure.

To this day, we have not made any changes or additions to the core MBCT elements of Be Mindful. Instead, our focus has been on improving user engagement and developing the management platform that is used by enterprise and healthcare providers of the course.

How do you stay relevant in this dynamic business environment?

There are thousands of mental health apps being launched each year and we can now say that our industry is established with a market for its products. Like most markets, there are good products and bad ones all making bold claims about their benefits. As the market matures, customers are becoming ever more discerning about what they buy, especially for products that are to do with something as personal and sensitive as mental health.

In my view, there is no quick fix to improving your mental health and we are staying with a focus on those tried and tested psychological therapies that have been proven to deliver long and lasting benefits. We hope to differentiate ourselves from our competitors in this way.

How exactly does your health app benefit the user, in what ways?

The challenge with MBCT is that for it to be effective, it requires someone actually meditating regularly and carrying out mindfulness practices for at least 4 weeks. A digital app is totally relevant for overcoming this challenge, as it enables MBCT to be delivered right into the heart of someone’s daily life.

Our Be Mindful app is proven to effectively do this and deliver all the benefits of this powerful psychological intervention. For example, many British universities have carried out clinical trial studies into the efficacy of Be Mindful as a psychological intervention.

A published randomized control trial study conducted by the University of Surrey shows that completer(s) of our Be Mindful course enjoy average reductions of 63% in depression and 58% in anxiety. These are dramatic improvements to people’s mental health and would be noticeable to friends, family and work colleagues.

Kindly tell us about the challenges you faced to withstand the complexities of your industry. With our Be Mindful and Pathway through Pain apps launching in 2011 we were probably the first UK company to operate in what is today called the health apps industry. It was good to feel we were ahead of the forthcoming game, but there was little commercial demand for health apps, so we had to make progress with poor company revenues.

We were, however, able to make some sales for patient trials with a couple of pioneering NHS pain services, which we're looking at web-based alternatives to face-to-face talking therapies. The NHS has been leading the way for many years with the provision of effective psychological support services and we have learned a lot. As health app competitors started to appear, we realized we were ahead of them in terms of development and research and decided to maintain this advantage by embarking on the very lengthy process of getting clinical trials completed and achieving the necessary healthcare accreditations.

Mental Health apps now make up part of what is a highly complex service by healthcare and enterprise providers, concerning data security, safety, and duty of care. For this, we have invested heavily in the development of our platform for our apps and the provision of a web-based course management portal, where providers can monitor course participant progress, with full anonymity and confidentiality, and measure effectiveness with health assessment outcomes reports and behavioral analytics.

Brief us about the current scenario of the mobile health app space.

Healthcare providers are past the stage of curiosity about the effectiveness of mental health apps and now see them as part of the healthcare mix of solutions. With this, they are looking to make use of the apps that are most effective and economical, but also are meeting high standards for accessibility, safety, and data security.

It would take at least 2 years to achieve these healthcare standards from launching an app, even if a new entrant to the mental health app space has deep pockets and invests heavily in this process.

Keeping in mind the need for active healthcare today, how is your company ensuring public awareness for it?

Not very well really – marketing and promotion have always been the weakest aspect of the company. We have been too product-focused over the years and it’s hurt us commercially. Coverage like this by Insights Care is very helpful.

We have now received our first investment and are in a growth stage at present, expanding our team and opening a new Boston office in the US. We are increasing our marketing and publicity activities and aim to increase our presence and be reaching a lot more people in need in the very near future.

To date, we have relied on word of mouth and our healthcare accreditations to get our apps noticed by corporates and healthcare providers. Also, a focus on making sure that potential customers searching for relevant health apps can find us on search engines. We are also ensuring that we have a pipeline of clinical studies being conducted and published to raise awareness of Be Mindful.

How do you envisage your company’s growth along with the development of your user base?

Our user base growth will be mainly by selling our apps B2B rather than a focus on promoting our apps directly to individuals.

Doxy.me: Making Telemedicine Accessible and Affordable to All

It doesn’t come as a surprise how the healthcare industry is thriving with new alternatives and techniques to offer the best care possible. One of the alternatives that has been around and proved to be feasible since last few months, is Telemedicine. Telemedicine holds the potential to change the world by making it easier and more affordable for healthcare providers to care for their patients anywhere, including rural and underserved areas. Everyone should have access to care through telemedicine, believes a leading-edge healthcare platform, Doxy.me. The company is not only of the belief, but is also changing the perspective of telemedicine being expensive and complicated by making it simple and free.

A strong doctor-patient relationship is the foundation for high-quality patient care and reducing health care costs. Doxy.me provides a simple and convenient way for healthcare providers to meet with their patients remotely, improving the health care experience.

A Simple, Free & Secure Platform

Doxy.me is on a mission to provide telemedicine for all who want/need it. It was started in 2013 to address the need for a simple, free, secure telemedicine platform for prenatal consultations with expecting mothers. Over the years, the platform had steady organic growth until March of this year when its signups started to increase dramatically, coinciding with the rise in COVID-19 cases around the world. There was obviously an urgent need for doctors to meet with their patients, and those patients were, in most cases, asked to remain in their homes. The company was honored to be able to provide a much-needed service during a global health emergency.

Since then, telemedicine has been on top-of-mind for many users, for its convenience and simplicity. The company understands that incorporating telemedicine into routine healthcare will encourage many consumers to stay in closer touch with their providers, and enable those providers to better nurture their patients.

In general, doxy.me is a free, HIPAA-compliant, secure telemedicine solution that provides a simple, convenient way for healthcare providers to meet with their patients remotely. It was designed to be easy; there is nothing to install and patients don’t need to create accounts. It even feels familiar, because the company has incorporated standard clinical workflows such as patient check-in and waiting room into the design.

Making telemedicine accessible means that more patients will reach out to their healthcare providers instead of hesitating due to safety or convenience factors.

The Creator Behind the Creation

The inceptive mind behind doxy.me is Brandon M. Welch. Brandon, MS, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Informatics at the Medical University of South Carolina and an adjunct at Clemson University. He created doxy.me in 2013 as a student at the University of Utah when he needed a simple and inexpensive telemedicine solution for a clinical research study, and found none available. In addition to doxy.me, Brandon also created three other healthcare IT products, Dokbot.io and ItRunsInMyFamily.com, and Adhere.ly.

Brandon attended the University of Utah as an undergraduate, Tulane University School of Medicine for an M.S. in Human Genetics and the University of Utah School of Medicine for his Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics. He currently lives in Charleston, SC.

From Regulatory Issues to Convenient Platform

During initial stages, it was difficult for the company to convince early customers that the platform really was as simple to use as it is currently. Customers kept expecting that they would be required to download or maintain an app. Little did they know that through this platform, all they need to start a telemedicine visit is click a web link to the doctor’s doxy.me room using a standard computer. No other hardware or software is required.

Secondly, there were also a lot of regulatory issues that the company had to overcome in order to be a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. It knew that without these two aspects, it wouldn’t be able to deliver the tool that healthcare professionals needed.

From thereon, doxy.me’s relevance has only increased and will continue to increase as both consumers and healthcare providers realize that not only is telemedicine accessible and simple, it’s dramatically more convenient than traveling to an appointment and traveling home. In July, the company hosted more than 11 million telemedicine sessions. That’s more than 11 million medical appointments that took place in a safe and convenient environment.

Brandon asserts, “The telemedicine space in general has exploded over the past six months. At the start of the pandemic, many providers turned to tools like Zoom or FaceTime because consumers were familiar with those tools, and there was obviously an urgent need. Many providers, though, had heard of doxy.me through peers, co-workers or industry publications, so they turned to us with increasing frequency. While there are more and more players in this field every day, we are still the secure, simple choice of many providers. We’re happy to say that we have nearly 750,000 users at this time.”

Customer-Centric Approach

Doxy.me has always focused on the customer experience. Its efforts in this area are obvious with every login to its platform, and the company always makes that a priority. When there are so many other competitors in a marketplace, businesses have to have a differentiating factor in order to compete and succeed.

The company always loves to hear from its users when they say how easy it is to use doxy.me, how comfortable it is, how intuitive it is, and how effortless it is. Even people who have never used telemedicine before are having similar experiences.

An excellent customer experience will always be the company’s goal. It wants to make telemedicine so effortless that more patients will use it. “Telemedicine will be the new normal, once COVID-19 is behind us, not only as the tool of choice for emergent situations, but as a front-line tool. Doctors can see patients, hospitals can ease fears, waiting rooms can be kept clear and in-person visits can be reserved for those who really need medical attention immediately”, mentions Brandon.

Doxy.me is striving to be the long-term telemedicine solution of choice. In upcoming days, its leading-edge platform will shape user experience and drive new developments in telehealth that improve the quality of delivered care. In order to make telemedicine available for all, it is putting a lot of effort into publicizing its provider successes. It also provided free licenses to some clinics that do amazing work in their communities.

YOUNG PARENTS ON HOW THEIR LIVES CHANGES WITH THE NEWBORN

Becoming a parent is quite the challenge. It changes a lot more than you think, and in many ways than you might suspect. It’s not just about taking on any new responsibilities, or having a new loved one in your life. It’s a lot more than that. Your daily schedule will change, as will your sleep patterns, diet, and even how you view yourself.

Being a parent myself, I have certainly gone through the motions. However, I felt it would be a little refreshing to get the views of a new parent — a young one at that. So I spoke to some of my colleagues, asking them how their lives changed when they had their first newborn. The answers were not only interesting, but also surprising, even for a veteran such as myself. Read on to find out!

You take on a new routine

The birth of your child is a coming-of-age event. It forces you to rethink the whole system you use to organize your life. Your entire schedule will not revolve around your child, rather than you, including new routine waypoints, such as breastfeeding, naps, bedtime, and so on. You will also have to make time in your day for going to the doctor, especially when the child starts going to daycare or school and picks up all sorts of germs and infections.

Cleaning up and doing normal chores might become a challenge, and you will have to plan your finances around your child’s welfare and future needs. So things that you might have previously done without a second thought, such as having a drink with friends, will now need proper planning.

You won’t have as much time for yourself

“Me-time” will be a luxury once the baby comes along. You can’t spend too long in the bathroom anymore, or binge on your favorite series. Your main focus will be the baby: feeding, changing, bathing, and dressing it. You will have to plan for someone to take over when you’re not around, such as your partner, or a nanny, and you will give up many outings and fun times with friends, just to make sure your baby is well taken care of.

You won’t sleep enough

For me, this was the most shocking change. I had to get up every night when the baby was crying to check on her. That includes weekends, by the way, because babies don’t take the weekend off. So, basically, you don’t even get some shuteye on Sundays like you were used to.

You will have to eat and live healthily

This one actually starts well before you have the baby. When you’re trying to be pregnant, you have to change your diet to increase the chances of it happening. There are also recommended foods if you want to increase the chances of your baby being a particular sex.

On top of that, you have to be very careful what you eat while you’re pregnant, and also when you’re breastfeeding for obvious reasons. Once all that is over, you still have to eat and live healthy. Part of the reason is that you want to be healthy so you can be strong enough to raise your child or children, as they will need you as they grow up, and will want you around long after they’re grown and are old enough to finally appreciate you. The other part is that you should be setting a good example for your children. Eating healthy will encourage them to do the same, and set a good example for them to emulate when they’re all grown.

Your confidence will go up

Many parents report feeling stronger and much more confident after the birth of their child. Having an all-encompassing responsibility they can dedicate themselves to gives them confidence. Mothers, in particular, see their bodies in a whole new light, accepting it far more than they did before the baby came along. The motherly instinct also has a way of making a woman a lot more mentally and emotionally strong.

Your relationship with your partner may significantly change

You won’t be able to go out for those romantic dates anymore, or have as much sex as you used to before, especially if one or both your libidos drop after childbirth. If you’re a single parent, dating will not only be difficult to find time for, but also won’t be a priority.

And yet, at the same time, your bond with your partner can strengthen in incredible ways. Seeing your child for the first time, with the father’s nose and the mother’s eyes, and watching them go through all their milestones, and struggling to raise it together, can create the most powerful bond you and your partner will ever have. You may fall deeper in love than you’ve ever been, thanks to that bundle of joy.

Conclusion

Having a child is an incredible miracle, and an adventure all on its own. While it certainly comes with its own challenges, it also makes us transcend ourselves and dedicate ourselves to something other than ourselves. Moreover, it can bring us the deepest love we will ever experience, both for our partners and the child.

The Language Doctors launches Connected Care - 24/7/365 On-Demand Interpreting Platform with Instant Access to over 2,000 Medical Interpreters

A lot can happen in 20 seconds. With COVID-19 taking over the world in 2020, we have seen a tremendous surge in the number of people using telehealth visits to be seen by medical staff. However, there is a challenge for individuals with limited English proficiency, especially in the event of an emergency when every second counts. How can non-native speakers receive the right care when they struggle to bridge language barriers? How can medical staff promptly diagnose and provide appropriate care to patients whom they cannot understand? The Language Doctors is facing this challenge head-on, with the release of their new product Connected Care©

The Language Doctors designed this tool to overcome the biggest obstacle in healthcare for patients that do not speak English. Connected Care© interpreting platform offers 24-hour, 7-days-per-week access to both patients and healthcare providers to ensure that they can:

Receive or provide appropriate care during a medical emergency and get connected with an interpreter in between 7 to 10 seconds in many cases, any time during day or night through Connected Care© HIPAA-compliant telehealth.
Access an outstanding team comprised of over 2,000 highly skilled and specialized medical interpreters in over 198 languages, including ASL (American Sign Language) and an extensive list of rare languages and dialects.
Connect with interpreters either on-demand via phone or video, or schedule interpreters for on-site visits.

Connected Care© is accessible via desktop and mobile app (both Android and iOS). Connected Care© is also fully HIPAA-compliant and provides the highest level of privacy and security features that healthcare providers and medical interpreters need when it comes to sharing protected health information (PHI). Both healthcare providers and patients can feel safe and comfortable knowing that their privacy is protected during telehealth visits.

The Language Doctors offers free demos and product trials for Connected Care©. They also offer a full range of other translation services. To find out more details, they can be reached at hello@tldinc.org.
